June Social Club Outing

The next Social Club outing takes place on Wednesday 11th June at the Old Irish Ways Museum, Bruff, Co. Limerick, V35 X236.

Heres some information on the museum:

 

Old Irish Ways Museum has an impressive collection of antique, historical and novel items dating from Pre-Famine times to more nostalgic items from our more recent past. It provides a fantastic insight into how past generations lived in Ireland. Visitors can gain an understanding of country life including the importance of agriculture, crafts and trades and how the tools and equipment used have developed over the centuries. All items are on open display.
Display areas include: Railway- Post – Office – Shop – Pharmacy – Creamery – Forge – Hardware Shop – Cobblers Shop – Wood Turning – Classroom – Kitchen cum bedroom – Bar.

 

We will meet at 11am at the museum and there is the option to go to The Yarn Cafe, at the Dementia Village in Bruff afterwards for lunch.
